Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress most well-known for her roles in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her showbiz career at a young age. She played lead roles in television dramas as early at the age of 16. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall, her role as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also critically acclaimed. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Alexandra has been involved in numerous notable national and international projects throughout her career.
